Thai central bank to meet commercial banks

The Bank of Thailand will hold a meeting with Thai commercial banks and domestic branches of foreign banks on Monday, a central bank official said.

Suchada Kirakul, a central bank assistant governor who supervises the money markets, would head the meeting, the official said.
No agenda was available. The meeting comes at a time of extremely tight conditions in world financial markets, but Bank of Thailand officials have insisted there were no problems in Thailand.
