When will the Thai government see that it is impossible to talk with terrorists, all governments around the world know this. Is it the Thai people are less educated that they let a person as Sonthi rise to power, it happened once in Germany and that was the start of the Second World War. But then the whole Second World War is something of a blank page of Thai history as Thailand was at the Japanese side... And not much historians like to talk about this time in Thai history. But in fact if we look at current events and look at events and negotiation techniques used by a terror group like Al-Qaeda you find very many similarities. Thy use the ignorance of people, and future more they tell the people that the government is in simple terms bad for the country, and all this while hiding behind a all-over-loved banner who nobody dares to question.
For the terror group Al-Qaeda this loved banner is the Muslim religion, and for the Thai terror group PAD they hide behind the Love of the King, as all Thai people love the Thai King as deep as much as love can go.
Not get me wrong the Thai group PAD, what they call themselves in Thailand are a terror group, with as it looks one goal to bring Thailand economical to its knees. In a time when the whole world is trying to survive a worldwide economic crisis, Thailand is creating its own economic crisis - and with not surprise - I not thing we as Thai people can expect the IMF to bail us out, basically the IMF has it hand full by saving the economics of the \"rich\" countries.
And please people of the world, not forget that we as Thai people voted for the current government on a legal and democratic way. As all eyes where on use, from European and VN observers we can tell it was far and square win for the current government.
Future more, the PAD call themselves democratic and loving the Thai King, but basically they want to change both the level of absolute democratic and want to change the way the Thai King wrote his wishes that all Thai people would have equal democratic voting right in a Thai democracy.
