Thai Airways changes US baggage policy

Thai Airways International has adopted a new checked baggage policy for flights to and from the US and Canada.From December 1, the free baggage allowance for passengers traveling with Thai will change to reflect new international standards.
Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class passengers receive a free baggage allowance of two pieces. The weight of each piece shall not exceed 32 kilograms (70 lbs) and linear measurement (length+width+height) shall not exceed 158 centimeters (62 inches).
Passengers traveling on economy class are given a free baggage allowance of two pieces. The weight of each item shall not exceed 23 kilograms (50 lbs) and linear measurement of each piece shall not exceed 158 linear centimeters (62 inches).
The charge for extra baggage exceeding the above allowance will be charged at US$119 per piece effective from January 1.
Royal Orchid Plus Gold Card members will enjoy the privilege of one extra baggage on top of the regular allowance in any class of travel.
The new baggage policy will ensure that Thai passengers enjoy a seamless flight connecting to any domestic destination in the US and Canada.
