Thai Airways signs lease agreement with BOC Aviation

AirlinesEarlier this week, Thailand’s flag ship carrier Thai Airways signed lease agreement with BOC aviation for eight Boeing 777-ER aircrafts. Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is known among the world’s top airlines and the pioneer introducing ‘Thai Girls’ uniforms.

The airline has a strong presence in Far East Asia and also operates flights to and from London, UK. It is a popular carrier for flights to Malaysia and Thailand. However, it also offers occasional promotional plans and cheap flights to South Africa. Thai Air’s extensive flight network covers all inhabited continents worldwide. Other key destinations of Thai Airways include Flights to Australia, East Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, South West Asia, Far East Asia, Europe, North America and Oceana.

The multi-holiday makers prefer Thai Airways for its direct flights to Bangkok and onward flights to Kuala Lumpur, to have a twin city vacation. While Business class at Thai Airways is also famed for its lavishness and comfort.

The recent lease agreement signed by Thai Airways will help the airline to meet the challenges of year 2011-12 and the increasing interest of travelers in Asian destinations. At this occasion, THAI president Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, said:

Thai Airways International’s corporate vision is to be the ‘First Choice Carrier with Touches of Thai.’ As we enhance our reputation of providing good service with a young fleet, we are pleased to partner BOC Aviation, Asia’s leading aircraft leasing company, for this transaction.

BOC Aviation has directly placed orders for the upcoming eight Boeing 777-300ERs from Boeing. The long term lease agreement with Thai Airways International is the first time that BOC Aviation has worked with Thai Airways. The delivery of order is scheduled from August 2012 to October 2013.

Thai Airways also holds strong reputation or its flights to Johannesburg from London via Bangkok. The airline is usually the first choice for Business and Holiday travelers. Also, frequent flyer programs, in-flight entertainment and food onboard are the specialty of this carrier. Thai Airways has a strong carrier ahead to become ‘The First Choice Carrier with Touches of Thai”.
