TOT In Talks For Partnership With Yahoo

Thai State-owned TOT Corp. is talking with U.S.-based Internet giant Yahoo Inc. and Yahoo Japan Corp. about possible collaboration in the broadband internet business, the Nation newspaper reported, quoting TOT Chief Marketing Officer Adit Harinasuta.

Developing foreign partnerships is part of TOT's strategy to strengthen its operations. The link with Yahoo could take the form of a joint venture or a strategic partnership, he said.
TOT has shown interest in a tie up with BT Group PLC, the UK telecommunications company, the Nation Newspaper also reported.
