Qatar Airways hosts VIPs at Hanoi dinner

Dignitaries from foreign missions in Hanoi were among guests of Qatar Airways at an official gala dinner in the Vietnamese capital to mark the November 1 launch of flights to the city.

The gathering included business leaders from Hanoi, as well as local and international media.

Hanoi becomes the 94th destination on Qatar Airways’ international route map. The dinner was hosted by Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar al-Baker.

Among the top officials who attended were the ministry of culture, sport and tourism’s International Co-operation Department general director Nguyen Van Tinh, National Assembly vice-chairman Nguyen Duc Kien, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Qatar Phung The Long; Qatar Airways senior vice-president (East Asia and South West Pacific) Marwan Koleilat and Minister Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar, Mohamed Ismail al-Emadi.
