Fire guts restaurant in Buriram

A fire broke out in a restaurant in Buriram province, with firefighters battling the blaze for more than an hour before the flames subsided. Estimated damages are at 300,000 baht.Police Captain Adichat Micha, watch commander of the Buriram municipal precinct, received reports of a fire which broke out at a restaurant called Saloon, a famous location in the municipality.
Police and firefighting units rushed to the scene and battled the flames for more than an hour, their work hindered due to the restaurant's mostly wood building material, which helped feed the flames.
The fire began spreading to a nearby Korean steak buffet establishment, before firefighters were able to bring the fire under control.
No injuries or deaths have been reported, and an estimated damage to the area is approximated at 300,000 baht. Police are beginning investigations into the possible cause of the blaze.
